The Travel Funds assist graduate student and under/unemployed members with their travel expenses associated with the SCMS Annual Conference (if you wish, you may earmark one or the other in the "Donor Comments" field of the donation form).

The PLO Solidarity Fund supports membership fees and conference registration fees for precariously employed, under/unemployed, graduate student and other members without institutional support. Priority is given to those members who perform service to the organization (through SIGs, caucuses, the GSO, PLO, policy committees, etc).

This fund supports Fieldnotes - an SCMS project to conduct, circulate and archive interviews with pioneers of film and media studies. In addition to recognizing the contributions of key scholars, the project also aims to foster knowledge of and interest in the diverse and dynamic developments that have shaped -- and continue to shape -- our expanding field.

This fund supports membership and conference waivers for new Native and Indigenous media scholars.
This fund supports our annual awards, including the Anne Friedberg Award, the Best Edited Collection/Best Essay Award, the Best First Book Award, the Kovacs Book/Essay Award, the Dissertation Award, the Distinguised Career Award, the Pedagogy Award, the Service Award, and the Award for Student Writing (if you wish, you may earmark your donation for any of these specific awards in the "Donor Comments" field of the donation form).
This fund is dedicated to helping undergraduate students who typically have no professional resources at their disposal to attend the SCMS Undergraduate Conference. This annual venue has proven to be a successful place for them to share their scholarship and to have their first experience of the profession.
