Cancellation/Refund Policy
How Are Cancellations and Refunds Different?
Cancellation: Officially canceling your attendance helps us shape a schedule that reflects who will actually be there, which in turn allows for better planning and a smoother experience for everyone. Canceling your presentation is not a financial matter; it's about supporting the success of the event and your fellow panelists. To cancel your attendance, please submit the form below by Friday, January 30, 2026 at 5pm CT. Note: cancellations submitted by phone or email cannot be accepted because they’re too difficult for us to track.
Refunds: A refund request involves asking for the return of your conference registration fee. Like cancellations, refund requests must also be submitted online, as phone or email requests cannot be processed. Refund amounts are determined according to the policy outlined below.
- Full refunds (100%): available until Friday, January 30, 2026 at 5PM CST.
- 80% Refunds: available until Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
- 50% Refunds: available from Thursday, February 19 to Sunday, March 15, 2026.
- No Refunds: requests after Monday, March 16, 2026 are ineligible for a refund except for medical or visa reasons (see below):
- Medical Conditions & Emergencies: Cancellations for medical reasons will be considered and may be eligible for a full refund at the discretion of SCMS.
- Visa issues: In-person registrants who are either denied a visa, or receive a visa approval letter that arrives too late (after the conference has started), are eligible for a full refund.
Refunds will be made in the form of the original payment.
