The Gender and Feminisms Caucus represents and promotes scholars involved in the study of gender and feminisms related to screen and media cultures. The Caucus is committed to promoting interdisciplinary and transnational feminist-informed panels, papers, and workshops at the annual SCMS conference. The Caucus works to support our membership year-round through initiatives like graduate student writing awards, mentorship programs, and sponsored events.

This is the Latinx/o/a Caucus, welcoming scholars interested in cinema and media studies of Latinxs and Latin America.

The primary mission of the SCMS Middle East caucus is to devote a dedicated intellectual forum to study the cinemas of these countries and languages, its diverse concerns, its varied aesthetic approaches, its auteurs, its commercial and evolving trends, the concerns of its diasporas and connections within the region and to the wider world.
