Support of Academic Freedom in Wisconsin

June 11, 2015 - The American Historical Association (AHA) has posted a statement in support of academic freedom in Wisconsin. The statement, endorsed by twenty-one other scholarly associations, defends tenure and academic freedom in the state in response to pending legislation that threatens both within the University of Wisconsin system. While the SCMS Board of Directors voted in favor of signing on to the statement, the AHA’s short timeline prohibited us from doing so.
